Landfill 950 Bench Final Cover
The Amos 950 Bench Final Cover Project was performed to install final cover design elements over previously placed waste that achieved the final placement elevation. This project extended the Sequence 3 Final Cover synthetics that R.B. Jergens previously completed by 10 acres. Upon mobilization, it was identified that the existing grades were not as expected and the design was constricted by fixed elements such as bench width and design slopes above and below the work area. The project was executed with guidance from a third party quality assurance company hired by the owner to ensure compliance with the design. Upon completion of the liner and the development of the certification report from the CQA company, it was identified that some of the previously reviewed elevations were out of tolerance and required areas to have synthetic liner removed and replaced after slight grade adjustments.
