Waste Disposal Construction

For more than twenty years, R.B. Jergens has been a regional leader in all types of waste containment construction. From landfill cells and caps to liquid and gaseous removal systems to superfund sites, R.B. Jergens crews are well versed in field construction techniques to deliver successful projects. Our senior management team has long ties to the commercial waste industry, giving R.B. Jergens a noticeable edge over other contractors.

Ash Impoundment Closure

R.B. Jergens is clearly at the forefront of ash impoundment closure as the first primary wet ash impoundment closure in the country.

R.B. Jergens has invested considerable resources in specialty equipment, safety protocols, and personnel training to manage the numerous challenges imposed by ash impoundments. Focusing on constructability, we have created partnerships with utility owners and design engineers to safely and efficiently execute the work.

Stream & Wetland Construction

R.B. Jergens crews have completed numerous stream restoration and wetland construction projects. Riffles, pools, root wads, cross vanes, and other water structures are all familiar construction elements for our team. R.B. Jergens has also developed aquatic habitat enhancements in significant rivers. Project scope and tasks include site-specific stream bank stabilization components such as live stakes, geosynthetically reinforced slopes, hardy riparian seed mixtures, and balled and burlapped trees and shrubs. R.B. Jergens can efficiently complete your specialized aquatic work.

Ash Management Services

In addition to construction, R.B. Jergens also performs day-to-day ash management services. R.B. Jergens has assembled a large fleet of specialized ash management equipment transitioning from off-road to on-road equipment. We manage fly ash silos, bottom ash ponds, gypsum stack-out pads, and FGD cookie bins. At most sites, we haul and place the CCR materials and construct the cell and maintain the site facility.
