East Bend Station
R. B. Jergens (RBJ) was contracted to load, haul and place of CCR, from Waste Stabilization Plant to East and West Landfills at East Bend Station. The project involved loading, relocating and grading CCRs to accomplish the working fill plan at East Bend. In addition, the project also required nearly 400K cy of material to be placed in 2023 to East Landfill to hit final capacity for closure. The project activities began in September 2019 and extends to September 2024.
The project presented the RBJ Team with several challenges, the closure of East Landfill and moving to West Landfill, RBJ was able to maximize air space in East Landfill, which saved the client from future expenses. Due to plant constraints, the O&M work must be performed 7 days a week – 52 weeks a year, this specifically includes all types of weather and holidays. RBJ developing two crews of seven operators and one supervisor, RBJ is successfully and efficiently fulfilled all East Bend’s specific requirements. Since 2019. The site in the last four years has managed to produce over 3,815,748 million cubic yards of CCRs! which includes POZ-O -Tec and wet bottom ash.
